Dracula Zines

       (2022)

“Dracula Zines” is a short project that explores alternative modes of storytelling, focusing on image and print within publications.

The classic novel Bram Stoker’s Dracula is retold in “How to....live like a vampire”, where the tropes within the book are switched out for superstitions that are still being told in households of those who live with Soviet era surviving relatives.
The book visually tells the chronological story, switching out the fantasy for hand forged fantasy of history.
All photography in this visual zine is my own.

“DRACULA X2” are two editions of the same code experiment that turned the first and last line of every chapter from Bram Stoker’s Dracula into AI art.
Retelling the story through the assosiations that today’s internet results have of the imagery.
